On Google Play and the App Store our games are published under the developer name alphaC. Some package IDs contain the name "lunappstudio" for technical reasons; these apps are nevertheless developed and operated by alphaC UG (haftungsbeschränkt) as the controller.
We have not appointed a data protection officer because we are not legally required to do so. For all privacy questions, please contact the email address above.
2. Overview
Our games do not require a user account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location. Game progress is stored on your device. To understand how the games are played, to fix errors and to finance the free games through advertising, we use the third-party services described below. These services process technical data about your device and your use of the game. Some games also offer optional in-app purchases (see section 7).
3. Data stored on your device
The game stores your progress (levels, score, earned coins, unlocked cosmetic items) and your settings (such as language, sound and vibration) locally on your device. This data is not transferred to us. It is required to provide the game (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; storage on the device is strictly necessary under Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG).
Deleting: you can delete this data at any time by clearing the app's storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the app. Deleted progress cannot be restored.
4. Google Play Games Services (leaderboards)
On Android, you can sign in to Google Play Games to take part in leaderboards. If you sign in, Google processes your Play Games player ID, your player name and avatar as set in your Play Games profile, and the scores submitted by the game. Signing in is voluntary; you can play without it. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the leaderboard feature you choose to use).
Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. You can manage or delete your Play Games profile in the Google Play Games app or in your Google account.
5. Analytics
We use analytics services to understand how the game is played (for example, which levels are too difficult), to detect technical problems and to improve the game. The following data is processed:
- game events: start and result of levels, session start and duration, earning and spending of in-game coins, use of game features;
- device and app data: device model, operating system and version, language, app version, screen size;
- identifiers: app instance or installation IDs generated by the services and, for Firebase, the advertising ID of your device (Android Advertising ID);
- error reports: technical information about crashes and errors in the game (GameAnalytics);
- IP address, from which an approximate location (country, region, city) is derived.
We do not use this data to identify you personally.
EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland. In these regions the game shows a consent dialog on first start (see section 6). Analytics is only switched on if you consent to storing and accessing information on your device (purpose 1 of the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework). Without this consent, no analytics data is sent. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG.
Other countries. Outside these regions analytics is based on our legitimate interest in analysing and improving the game and its technical stability (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Services used:
- GameAnalytics, GameAnalytics ApS, Copenhagen, Denmark. Privacy policy: gameanalytics.com/privacy
- Google Analytics for Firebase, Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy, information on Firebase: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time under Settings → Privacy settings in the game; analytics stops immediately. Outside the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you can object to this processing (see section 10). You can also reset or delete the advertising ID in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
6. Advertising
Our games are free and financed by advertising (interstitial ads and optional rewarded videos). On Android we use the ad mediation platform Appodeal (Appodeal, Inc., USA; privacy policy: appodeal.com/privacy-policy). Appodeal selects ads from several ad networks, including Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited; policies.google.com/technologies/ads). An up-to-date list of the ad networks connected through Appodeal is available in Appodeal's privacy policy.
To deliver ads, Appodeal and the ad networks process: the advertising ID, IP address, device and app data (model, operating system, language, app ID), approximate location derived from the IP address, and information about displayed and clicked ads.
Yandex Ads. In some regions outside the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Appodeal can also deliver ads from Yandex Ads (YANDEX LLC; privacy policy: yandex.com/legal/confidential). In this case the Yandex SDK, including its AppMetrica component, processes the advertising ID, device and app data, the IP address and information about displayed ads; the data is processed in Russia. To select the ad networks available in your region, the game determines the country of your SIM card and mobile network; this check takes place only on your device. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Yandex Ads is not used.
Consent. When you first start the game in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent dialog is shown (based on the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework). Personalized ads and access to the advertising ID for advertising purposes take place only if you consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). If you do not consent, only non-personalized ads are shown; the data needed to deliver them, limit their frequency and prevent fraud is still processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in financing the free game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future under Settings → Privacy settings in the game; the new choice applies immediately. You can also delete or reset the advertising ID in your Android settings or send us an email. Where the game shows this setting under the privacy laws of certain US states, you can also use it to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data for advertising.
7. Purchases
Some games offer optional in-app purchases with real money, for example "Remove Ads". Purchases are processed exclusively by Google Play or the Apple App Store in accordance with their terms and privacy policies; we do not receive your payment details (such as card or account data).
So that the purchased item can be unlocked and restored, the app store informs the game about the purchase (product, time, transaction number and status). In addition, the app stores provide us with order and sales reports (for example product, price, date, country and order number), which we use for accounting and for handling refunds and enquiries. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the purchase contract) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with the retention obligations under commercial and tax law, under which we keep accounting records for the statutory period.
8. Contacting us
If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). We delete this data once your request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
9. Recipients and transfers outside the EU
Data is passed to the service providers named in sections 4 to 6. Some of them process data in the USA (Google LLC as a group company of Google Ireland, Appodeal, Inc., ad networks). Transfers take place on the basis of the EU Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is certified under it, and otherwise on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
If Yandex Ads is used (see section 6), data is processed in Russia, for which there is no adequacy decision of the EU Commission.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your data (Art. 15 GDPR);
- rectification (Art. 16 GDPR);
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR);
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR);
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR);
- withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
You can change or withdraw your consent directly in the game under Settings → Privacy settings. To exercise your other rights, email support_alphac@pm.me or admin@alphac.tech. Because we do not know your name or email address from the game, we may ask you for the identifiers needed to find your data (for example, the advertising ID). We will forward requests to the service providers concerned.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: Unabhängiges Datenschutzzentrum Saarland (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Fritz-Dobisch-Straße 12, 66111 Saarbrücken, Germany.
11. Retention
Data on your device remains there until you delete it or uninstall the app. Data processed by analytics and advertising services is stored by the respective provider for as long as necessary for the purposes described and in accordance with their retention periods; information on this can be found in the providers' privacy policies linked above.
12. Children
Our games are intended for users aged 13 and over and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Users under 16 should only consent to personalized advertising with the approval of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Other information
You are not obliged to provide personal data. Without the technical data described above, however, the analytics and advertising functions cannot be used. There is no automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. Data is transmitted in encrypted form (HTTPS).
14. Changes
We may update this privacy policy when our games or the services we use change. The current version is always available at this address.
